Baird Private Equity is pleased to share that Simon Havers, Managing Director of Baird Capital Partners Europe, has been named the 27th Chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA). The BVCA is the industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in the UK. With over 450 member firms, the BVCA represents UK-based venture capital, middle market and large buy-out private equity firms and their advisers. The private equity industry in the UK represents 60 percent of the European private equity industry.
As BVCA Chairman, Havers will continue to be an advocate for the vital role of private equity in promoting economic development in the UK. He previously served as BVCA Member Services Committee Chairman and Vice Chairman, and continues in his current capacity at Baird Capital Partners Europe.
Baird Capital Partners Europe is the UK-based buyout fund of
Baird Private Equity. Established in 1971, the group has completed over 150 private equity investments, and invests in UK-based middle-market business services, manufactured products and healthcare companies with an established annual turnover of between £10m and £100m.
