Peter joined BPE in 2003 as an operating partner working with portfolio companies to develop distribution and sourcing strategies in Asia. Peter oversees BAL from the China perspective. Peter served as President of Racing Champions Limited (“RCL”) from 1996 through 2003, the Hong Kong-based subsidiary of RC2 Corporation (NASDAQ: RCRC). Peter formed RCL's predecessor in 1989 to handle the overseas operating activities of RC2’s Asian manufacturing requirements. Prior to 1989, Peter founded and operated Deles International Ltd., a manufacturer and marketer of consumer products exported to the U.S., Japan and Europe.

Mohan is an Executive-In-Residence with Baird Venture Partners’ business services team and an Operating Partner with Baird Capital Partners. Mohan works with the team to source and evaluate new investment opportunities and contribute value-added operating experience to portfolio companies. Prior to joining Baird Private Equity, Mohan worked at Apple as a Vice President reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, where he led a team focused on establishing offshore operations in India and Eastern Europe. Prior to Apple, Mohan was Vice President and Managing Director of Dell International Services, where he was responsible for establishing and rapidly scaling Dell’s India operations. Within a two-year period, Mohan launched and grew Dell’s India operation to over 6,400 employees in three cities and four campuses. He also previously served as Vice President of Customer Experience for Dell’s Americas business unit, and held high-level, executive roles at Cummins Engine, Honeywell and Xerox. Mohan earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.

Martyn joined BAL in 2005. Martyn is involved in assisting BPE portfolio companies in the development and execution of an Asia Strategy that contributes to both revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiency. Prior to joining BAL, Martyn spent almost eight years in management positions with a leading contract manufacturing company, Flextronics International, in both their US and Shanghai operations. As Program Director, Martyn was primarily responsible for migrating OEM manufacturing operations from the U.S. to China. Martyn earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Ankur is a Senior Consultant to BPE and actively works with the firm’s portfolio companies to develop and implement sourcing and expansion strategies in India. Ankur also assists the firm’s investment teams with evaluating new investment opportunities in the business services sector. Prior to working with Baird, Ankur served as a Principal at Tholons Inc., a leading management consulting firm focused on outsourcing and globalization strategy, where he led several consulting engagements in the areas of global sourcing and offshore strategy. Prior to Tholons, Ankur worked in the information technology and business process outsourcing industries with Atos Origin and Cognizant Technology Solutions in roles encompassing internal corporate strategy, business development and operations. He received a BE in Mechanical Engineering from VTU and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow with majors in Finance and Systems.

Janet Ni joined BAL in 2007. Prior to joining BAL, Janet served in a senior management role in a leading digital video recording company, TGC Inc., where she was primarily responsible for the outsourcing and market entry of TGC products in Asia. Janet also worked for Motorola China covering Asian outsourcing activities to contract manufacturers in East China. Janet started her career and spent 6 years in a leading contract manufacturing company holding various operational functions and was involved in the establishment of the first facility in China for Solectron Corp. Janet is fluent in both Mandarin and English and earned a Masters Degree of Technology and Equipment from Northwestern University of China in Xi'an.

Derek joined BAL in 2006 as Senior Supply Chain Manager. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Supply Chain Manager at Flextronics Shanghai where he was responsible for the supply chain management of telecommunications products. Derek also spent 5 years working for Komag (USD) in Malaysia as a Senior Purchasing Executive, overseeing procurement strategies and activities. Derek started his career in a leading freight management company in Malaysia. Derek is fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin and received his Degree of Commerce from Deakin University in Australia.

Grace joined BAL in 2005. Prior to joining Baird, she spent two years in Starcomm of United Kingdom as a Financial Manager. Prior to that, she worked NingAn Real Estate Ltd. as Administrative & Financial Manager. Grace was graduated from Leeds Business School of Leeds Metropolitan University, Britain with MSc Accounting and also holds Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from T.E.D Management Studies School, Singapore .Grace is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
